Mike has been teaching private lessons for acoustic and electric guitar, harmonica, banjo, mandolin, bass guitar, slide & lap steel, as well as music theory & improvisation for over 20 years. He uses a personal approach, designing lessons to help students learn the styles and techniques they are interseted in to meet their personal goals. That could mean learning to read music and in-depth music theory for jazz or classical guitar, playing by ear, learning sogs from recordings or just learning basic chords to back up singing.
