Sarah Miracle is a senior at The University of Akron pursing a double major in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies. She is currently the principle saxophonist of the University of Akron Symphonic Band, and also participates in the University’s Jazz Ensemble and many other ensembles of varying styles, both inside and outside of school. She was selected as this year’s recipient of the Agnes Fowler Collegiate Scholarship from the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs, and was also recently named the 2014-15 Presser Scholar for The University of Akron School of Music. A native of Wadsworth, Ohio, Miracle is also a frequent soloist with the Wadsworth Community Band and frequently performs at other local events.
