Adam Keeler

Bachelor of Music Classical Guitar, University of Akron

Adam has been playing guitar for 20 years and teaching for 10. The passion began with playing electric guitar in the styles of the Rock gods of the time, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. Then after a concert by Phil Keaggy he switched to acoustic fingerstyle. Eventually he studied with Pierre Bensusan in 1999 at Pierre's home in France for his residential guitar series. His debut CD “ The Rest of Angels” has been favorably received by such artists as Michael Manring and Pierre Bensusan (available on iTunes and Cdbaby.com) After switching to classical guitar in 2005, he became a finalist in the James Stroud classical Guitar competition in 2008 and 2009. He also ran the Burning River Electric Guitar Competition in 2010. He studied with Stephen Aron in his senior year at the University of Akron and has his Bachelor's degree in classical guitar performance.  Adam was the Guitar Club President for most of his college career. He is also a board member with the Cleveland Classical Guitar Society. His free time is consumed with composing his next CD and spending time with his lovely wife and children.
